Title of the project: Planet Happiness global project
Summary of the project
The Department and the Applied Tourism Administration Research Center at Boğaziçi University has signed in 2018 a memorandum of understanding with the Happiness Alliance in order to participate in the Planet Happiness global project. Initially two pilot projects that will be carried out in two World Heritage Sites in Turkey are planned, and if successful, the project will continue with the remaining sites. Collaborating with Happiness Alliance will give the opportunity to gain access to a comparable survey on community well-being and data from other World Heritage Sites around the world for conducting comparative research on sustainable tourism

Title of the Project;Impact of Sustainable Tourism on Quality of Life in Kastamonu
Project Summary: San Diego State University and Boğaziçi University Department of Tourism Administration have completed a joint student project titled “Impact of Sustainable Tourism on Quality of Life in Kastamonu” in August 2013 and August 2014. Undergraduate and graduate students from San Diego State University and Boğaziçi University have participated in the project.
Title of the Project: Improving the Quality of Education in Food and Beverage Vocational Schools in Thrace Region”
Project Summary: Projecttitled “Improving the Quality of Education in Food and Beverage Vocational Schools in Thrace Region” coded “TRH2.2.IQVETII/P-03/487wascarried out in the period September 1st 2014 - September 1st 2015with the collaboration of Boğaziçi University Department of Tourism Administration and Kırklareli University. Taking into account the needs of the local human resourcesschools in TR21 Thrace Region consisting of cities of Edirne, Tekirdağ and Kırklareli, the aim of the project is to improve the quality of education in food and beverage vocational schools in the area. The project was supported by Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the EU.
